ISS Facility Services, one of the world's largest facility services groups, and ARINSO People Services today announced a new contract for the outsourcing of administrative HR services. This contract is the first large-scale HR outsourcing agreement in the Netherlands.
Under the terms of the agreement, ARINSO will take over ISS staff and operate the administrative HR processes for more than 22,000 ISS employees in the Netherlands. As part of the contract, ARINSO will set up an HR Shared Service Center. The contract covers a period of minimum 5 years and is valued at 12.5 million EUR.
ARINSO will provide comprehensive personnel administration services to ISS Facility Services from its service center in Utrecht. As a result, some 30 ISS employees will be transferred to ARINSO.
ARINSO International is the European market leader in HR ICT and HR Outsourcing. The Company recently concluded several global large-scale HR outsourcing deals.
"ISS wants to keep its leading market position in facility services. Therefore, we will further professionalize and optimize our global facility offering in the coming years", declares Bert Drenth, HR Director at ISS Facility Services. "A major move in this process is the outsourcing of the HR function to a specialized partner, allowing us to offer better services to our employees while achieving cost reductions. Our HR executives and staff will be able to fully play their role of HR advisor, serving our business functions."
"HR Business Process Outsourcing is a cornerstone of ARINSO's growth strategy. The contract with ISS is recognized as a breakthrough in HR Business Process Outsourcing (HR BPO) in the Netherlands", comments Andy Verstelle, Managing Director ARINSO Nederland. "The outsourcing of HR processes - including the takeover of employees - has already proved efficient at global level. The Dutch market is now also mature, even though there is a clear difference with other countries. Whereas outsourcing in Anglo Saxon countries is driven by cost reductions, ISS - like many of our customers - also strives to improve the quality of their HR services, as part of a broader program."
Rob van Bavel, ARINSO program manager: "We started setting up and implementing an HR Shared Service Center a while ago. The Service Center turned operational in May 2005 with the first ISS entity being serviced. The past few months three other entities were added. As a result, we currently serve half of the total number of ISS employees. In the coming months, we will add the other entities so as to centralize all administrative HR services. An important part of our service will be digitizing personnel files."
As of 1 October 2005, all HR staff will be working for ARINSO, i.e. both HR Shared Service Center employees, and the people who are still working in the various ISS entities and will be transferred to the Shared Service Center later on.
