This paper describes an alternative solution to financial management that TPI recommended and its client — a global company — adopted. The solution involves changing the paradigm of data ownership from a model in which the service provider owns information and downloads pieces of it to the client into a model in which the client takes ownership of the data and performs its own real-time reporting extracts in the format(s) most appropriate for its evolving global business.
